Snakehips Live in Manila
Snakehips, the trending British electronic duo, is coming to Manila on December 13 to perform at Black Market in Makati.
The 24-year old duo from London, Oliver Lee and James Carter, became popular after their remix songs topped the music blog, Type Machine’s, chart.
The talented pair first met in Hong Kong on separate business trips where they bonded over shared musical interests. While on the same flight to L.A., they began talking music and even booked a studio to work on a track together. Since then, both decided to share their music talents to the world and called themselves “Snakehips.”
Snakehips rapidly made their name with Hype Machine chart-topping remixes for BANKS, The Weeknd, Bondax and Wild Belle.
They released their first debut single in 2014. A year after, their next single “All My Friends,” featuring American singer Tinashe and American hip hop recording artist Chance the Rapper, entered the UK Singles Chart.
Earlier this year, the pair also released their 4-track EP Forever (Pt II), featuring a several talented vocalists – Londoner Kaleem Taylor, The Internet’s Syd, singer-songwriter Sasha Keable and Daniella T.A.O.L.
Snakehips’ “Cruel” which featured Zayn Malik has claimed its first No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks. The video also gained more than 17 million global views on YouTube as of today. Watch the video below:
